Search engines & Useful links

Google Scholar
For scientific information

Scirus
Scirus covers scientific, technical and medical information sources as well as a unique combination of both web and membership sources. It excludes sites that contain no scientific content and reads non-text files (like pdf). It searches deeper by indexing complete documents and classifies results into pre-defined subject areas.

Societies & Councils

American Society for Microbiology - Site Map
A comprehensive index to the ASM site.

Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council

Society for General Microbiology
The SGM has been established for over 50 years, promoting and supporting the art, science and significance of microbiology and associated subjects world-wide. Here you will find information about all the Society’s activities, and about the importance of microbiology in today’s world.
