Books in the Library Service collection

The holdings of the Library Service are reflected in the online library catalogue and the records of older items that are seldom used may still be found in the card catalogue. A Library catalogue training programme is available to guide clients through the various search options in the catalogue.

E-books

The complete list of the Library Service's  e-books  is available at electronic books.

Books elsewhere

Books that cannot be found at the University of Stellenbosch might possibly be traced via SACat on Sabinet Online. This database lists all books held in South African libraries.

Interlibrary loans

The Library Service renders a free interlibrary loan service to all staff members, registered students and prospective postgraduate students of the University. It is important to check the online library catalogue to ensure that the required item is not held at the University of Stellenbosch Library Service before requesting an interlibrary loan.
